Sundance Generator - Module Removal
The module is being removed by pulling on the two black handles. The generator is running while the module is being removed. Notice that the module is being removed in complete safety without wearing any insulating gloves.

Sundance Generator - Maintenance
The bolts that hold the module in place are being removed using a socket wrench. The production version of modules will probably use wing nuts so that they can be changed out without using any tools.

Sundance Generator - Module
This is the one of the modules for the Sundance generator. It contains the windings for the generator. Notice that it is mounted to the generator with two bolts. Also notice the handles used to hold the module so it can be pulled out and put back in. The production version of the module will also contain an LED which will light up when the windings go bad. Each module of this size produces 1 kilowatt per hour. The expected life of each module is 20 years.

Sundance Generator - Front View
The Sundance generator is the most maintainable generator in the world. This version contains
30 modules, 15 on the front and 15 on the back. These modules contain the
windings for the generator. With the windings for a traditional generator fail
the generator is usually discarded. When the windings on one of the modules on
the Sundance generator breaks, it can be replaced, while the generator is still
producing power.
